Journeys Through Time
A Canadian Poetry Anthology

All members of The Ontario Poetry Society are invited to participate in our annual anthology of poetry. This collection will feature your best poems on the following topics:
Section 1 - Forces of Memory
Poems about how past events in your own life or in your family history have affected you either for the better or for the worse, poems about life changing events from your past, poems about hidden and visible treasures you have kept from your past that are still valued including memories of departed family members and special times experienced and poems about heirlooms and knowledge passed down.
Section 2 - The Roads Imagined
Poems about past aspirations which have or have not come to fruition and bucket list item(s) from your past which you have successfully acquired or are still hoping to acquire or have abandoned.
Section 3 - Remarkable Encounters
Poems about famous/infamous people from the past - rulers / leaders, explorers, pioneers, writers including poets, and celebrities and poems about a significant landmark you have visited and the impact it had on you.
Submission Guidelines
- Submit a minimum of 5 poems up to a maximum of 10 poems so the editor/compiler has enough choices to make the best selections for the book.
- Format: Print your name neatly on the top left corner of each poem and the theme of each poem on the upper right corner of the page.
- Each member is guaranteed to have a minimum of 2 short poems or 1 long poem (requiring two pages) in the book.
Submission Deadline
Entries must be mailed on or before March 15, 2027.
Publication Date
Estimated publication on or before October 31, 2027.
Pre-publication Offer — $30 per copy
The Ontario Poetry Society is a registered, not-for-profit, grass roots, democratic, poet-friendly organization. Since we do not receive outside funding for this project, it must be financially self-sustaining. Each submission must include payment for at least one copy of the book.
- No limit on the number of books you may purchase (paid in advance)
- Price includes all taxes, postage and handling
- After publication, copies will be $35 each
