The Entitled Titles Poetry Competition 2026
Open to everyone living in Canada. All styles welcome.

Subject & Theme
Poems to be written on the theme of a movie title, play, book title, or song title.
The entitled title must appear either as the title of your poem, in the poem's body, or as the epigraph. All styles and forms are welcome.
Awards
Plus: 20 Honourable Mentions. All prize-winning entries receive an award certificate, publication in a chapbook anthology, and one complimentary copy of the book.
Submission Guidelines
Poems to be written on the theme of a movie title, or a title of a play, or a book title, or a song title. The entitled title must appear either as the title of your poem or in the poem's body, or as the epigraph. All styles welcome.
Submission Rules
- Length: No longer than 32 lines (Spaces between stanzas count as lines; titles do not).
- Width: No more than 40 characters per line (including punctuation and spaces).
- Formatting: Arial 12 font, single spaced on 8.5" x 11" white paper, one side only.
- Status: Poems may be previously published but must not have won a previous contest. Author must own copyright.
Blind Judging Instructions
No author information should appear anywhere on the same page as the poem (front or back). Please include a separate cover page with your name, mailing address, email, phone number, and a list of poem titles (first line if no poem title).
