following reasons:
They have achieved excellence in their pursuit of perfection and idealism
with their own poetry.
They have mentored, educated, edited and published other emerging talented
poets.
Their devotion to poetry goes far beyond that of any ordinary poet.
JILL
BATTSON
- Jill is an internationally published poet and poetry activist.
She created and hosted the successful poetry reading series "The
Poets' Refuge" and has initiated and produced many poetry events.
She has promoted poetry on radio and television and edited an anthology
for Key Porter Books. Jill is actively involved in promoting fine
poets and great poetry. In
April 2010 Jill was appointed as Poet Laureate of Cobourg, Ontario.
ALLAN
BRIESMASTER - Allan is the main literary editor for Searphim Editions.
A member of The League of Canadian Poets, the Canadian Federation
of Poets, the Canadian Poetry Association, Allan supports Canadian poets
and poetry full time as a freelance editor, tutor, mentor, micro-publisher,
reviewer and book packager.

MARTY
GERVAIS - Marty is one of Canada's most distinguished writers. He
is a book editor, a journalist, an educator, and an award winning author.
Marty has published numerous anthologies and continues to promote excellent
poetry through Black Moss Press.

(Bunny) ISKOV - Bunny is the founder of The Ontario Poetry Society,
is the author of two full collection of poetry, several chapbooks and
has had many poems published in Magazines and Anthologies. read

B. LEE - John has published over 30 books of poetry. He has
won several awards and is the only two time winner of the Milton Acorn
Memorial People's Poetry Prize. He is a teacher, a mentor, an editor,
a family man and a true friend to all poets. read

BERNICE
LEVER - is a Granny Grammar POET. She was Born in Smithers, BC,
March 19,1936 and now resides on Bowen Island, BC, Canada. She has a
BA and an MA in English from York University as well as teaching certificates
from BC and Ontario. She still works as an editor and marketing advisor.

ELANA WOLFF - Past-President of The Ontario Poetry Society, has
taught English as a Second Language at York U as well as in Israel.
She has worked as a proofreader and copyeditor. She also contributes
a bimonthly column to Surface& Symbol, which promotes local poets
while furthering a greater appreciation and understanding of the
craft. Elana has three full collections, published by Guernica
Editions. An editor, a mentor and an award-winning accomplished
poet, Elana continues to support and contribute to The Ontario Poetry

MARSHALL FLAHERTY - Kate Marshall Flaherty is an award-winning poet,
who has guided Writing from Within and Writing as
a Spiritual Practice workshops in schools, hospitals, schools,
community and center and private homes. She has worked with all ages
and has a gentle way of creating trust and affirmation in writing circles.
Her creativity inspires. Her belief is that everyone has a story worth
sharing, and that everyone can write if it comes from the heart. read

KATHERINE
L. GORDON - A Canadian poet with numerous publications to her credit.
She lives and writes in the Eramosa River valley near Guelph, Ontario,
and also works as an editor, independent publisher and literary critic.
Her work has been published internationally in several languages, including
Chinese and Hindi.
DEBBIE
OKUN HILL - Hhas been writing for over 30 years but
has only been focusing on poetry since 2003. She is an experienced journalist/communication
specialist, previously employed at two rural newspapers as well as The
Winnipeg Art Gallery, Lakehead University in Thunder Bay and Fanshawe
College in London, Ontario. As a freelance writer, she wrote media releases,
advertorials for local magazines and had work published in such international
publications as Chicken Soup for the Soul and other inspirational books.
