The Ontario Poetry Society Presents:

The Entitled Titles Poetry Competition 2026
Open to everyone living in Canada. All styles welcome.

Awards
1st Prize - $100 CAD, 2nd Prize CAD - $50, 3rd Prize - $25 CAD + 20 Honourable Mentions ; All prize winning entries receive an award certificate, will be published in a chapbook anthology and all prize winners will receive one copy of the book.

Subject Guidelines:
Poems to be written on the theme of a movie title, or a title of a play, or a book title, or a song title. The entitled title must appear either as the title of your poem or in the poem's body, or as the epigraph. All styles welcome.

Submission Rules:
Poems to be no longer than 32 lines using Arial 12 font, single spaced on white 8.5 x 11" paper, one page side only. Spaces between stanzas count as lines; titles do not count as lines. No more than 40 characters per line, including punctuation and spaces between words. No limit to the number of poems per submission. The author must own the copyright to poems submitted. Poems may be previously published but not have won a previous contest.

Blind Judging:
No author information to be anywhere on the same page as the poem, front or back. A separate cover page must be included with author name, mailing and email addresses, and phone number, along with a list of poem titles (first line if no poem title). The author must own the copyright.

Deadline, Entry Fee:
Up to 3 poems for $10 CAD, $5 CAD for each additional poem.
Submissions to be mailed with payment on or before January 31, 2026.
