The Ontario Poetry Society Presents
The Pentados Series Poetry Contest, 2026
Open To All Canadian Citizens

Five poets will be selected to feature their poetry submitted in a perfect bound anthology
and all five selected poets will receive an award certificate.

Rules and Guidelines:

Manuscripts of 15 pages of poetry accepted.
Each page features a maximum of 36 lines.
The spaces between the stanzas count as lines.
Poems to be unpublished and not sent elsewhere.
All poems in your manuscript must adhere to one specific theme of your choice.
All styles welcome.

Line width to be restricted to 55 characters & word spaces.
Manuscript to be submitted on plain white paper, single-spaced
on 8.5" x 11" pages.

One page to have all the contact information with author name,
complete mailing address, phone number and e-mail (if possible)
and the list of poem titles in the manuscript.
The other cover page is to have NO author information, back or front
with the list of the poem titles in the manuscript.
Poems to be printed on only one side of a sheet.
Do not send any pictures or artwork or biographical information.
No Author I.D. to be anywhere, front or back, on any of the poems.
All 5 poets will receive 10 copies of the anthology.
This includes all taxes, postage and handling expenses.

Entry fee: $10 for the first manuscript. Additional manuscripts are $5 each.
There is no limit to the number of submissions per entrant.
Additional copies for purchase by the winner are $15 each.

Deadline: Entries to be postmarked on or before April 30 th 2026.
Include a #10 s.a.s.e. (self-addressed stamped envelope) for the winners list.
Manuscripts are not returned.
