Bio: JC Sulzenko

Ontario poet JC Sulzenk's narrative, lyrical, found and ekphrastic work, including Bricolage, A Gathering of Centos, a finalist for the national 2022 Fred Kerner Book Award from the Canadian Authors Association, and South Shore Suite... POEMS, appears in anthologies and journals in print and online, either under her name or her pen name, A. Garnett Weiss.

Aeolus House published her third collection, Life, after life-from epitaph to epilogue, in November 2024.The Ottawa International Writers Festival, the Canadian Authors Association, County Arts, school boards, municipal libraries, and Alzheimer societies hosted her writing workshops. She has offered mentoring through County Arts and MASC. JC writes poetry on commission and as a fundraiser for charitable causes.

JC judged poetry contests for the League of Canadian Poets, the Ottawa Public Library, the Canadian Authors Association, the Ottawa Citizen, and others. She founded and curated "Poetry Quarter" in the Glebe Report (2015-2023.) A full member of the League of Canadian Poets, JC selects for bywords.ca and serves on the Board of the Ontario Poetry Society.
