And all winners receive 1 copy of the anthology for each
poem selected for the collection from their submissions

Themes:
Poems wanted that are inspired by any kind of visual art, including photographs, paintings
(oil, watercolour, acrylic, pastel, sketches), sculptures, collages,
anything hand painted such as fans, murals, illustrations on any book jacket, or on any item
of clothing, hand sewn pictures such as needlepoint, crewel, hand woven decorative pieces,
including area rugs. You can write about the experience of looking at the art, or write about
the scene or subject being depicted in the artwork, write in the voice of the object or the person
depicted in the picture or write in the voice of the artist, or you can relate the work of the art
to something else that it reminds you of.

Rules and Guidelines:
All styles welcome, Max. length per poem is 36 lines and the spaces between the stanzas count as lines.
The poem must include the source as an Epigraph (picture title and artist).
If a family photograph, state (photograph of _____ by _____).
(if other visual art, mention what it is and if possible, who designed or made it).
Poems may be previously published, but no previous contest winning poems

Blind Judging:
No author ID to be anywhere on the same page as the poem
Include a cover page with author's name, address, telephone # and e-mail
(if possible) and poem title(s) OR first lines of the poem(s) if no title(s)

Contest Fee:
1 poem for $2 or 3 poems for $5
There is no limit to the number of submissions
Make cheques payable to The Ontario Poetry Society.

Contest Deadline is September 30th, 2016 Postmark Date
