A Canadian Commemorative Anthology of H.R.M. Queen Elizabeth II

Published poets will be offered extra copies for a discounted purchase price.
Note: the size of this anthology will be determined by the number of entrants.

We are accepting positive remembrance and tribute poems for this commemorative anthology, a copy of which will be sent to the monarchy.

Topic: Queen Elizabeth - meeting her or seeing her pass during a visit to Canada, dreams or imaginations of meeting her,
young introductions or acknowledgements of her as Canada's queen, perceptions of positive values she represented,
expressions of grief / surprise at her sudden (despite anticipated) passing or the mood of the commonwealth in response,
ways she engaged that drew appreciation or respect, the queen on our stamps, the queen on our money, the national
anthem 'God Save the Queen' etc.

All styles of poetry will be accepted. No previously published poems.

Poem Length:Two choices
either 36 lines ncludes name, poem title and all line breaks so that it will fit on one page
or longer poems of 60 - 72 lines (including name, poem title and all line breaks) that will adequately fill 2 pages

Maximum Line Length: 55 characters (includes hyphens and commas, spaces between words and those used for special indentation, et al)

Font: Times New Roman 12 pt
Cover page must include author name, complete postal mailing address, including apt. #, postal code, telephone number and e-mail if applicable.
Poem titles or first lines of poems to be listed vertically down the page.

Submission Deadline: November 30, 2022, for publication in January 2023

Submission Fee: 1 poem for $5 or 3 for $10 There is no limit to the number of submissions.
