John Di Leonardo is the current president of the Brooklin Poetry Society. He leads "Poetry in the Library" a monthly Poetry Reading Series in Brooklin. He has organized poetry reading events in Durham Region's Harvest Festival, Arts Festival, The Ashburn Historical Society and Remembrance Day readings at the Brooklin Royal Canadian Legion. He has been involved in the promotion and publication of poetry by young people at local events and in High Schools. He holds an Hon. BFA from McMaster University in Drawing and Painting. He is a long time Brooklin resident with thirty years of Visual Arts Educational experience in both Secondary and Post Secondary levels. As a full time artist he now produces and exhibits his ongoing body of artwork titled, "The Book Of Hours." John's poetry has appeared in a number of poetry magazines and anthologies.
