Ted Plantos Dedication
Parmar nee Kamal Gurtaj Singh, was born in India and has been
passionately involved in writing since high school and University
years. Her genre is poetry and creative non-fiction and she dabbles
frequently with Haiku poetry. Her poems are simple, though poised
and evocative enough to set the reader thinking. She has a few books
published in UK and India and many publications in reputed US and
Canadian literary journals and anthologies.
Kamal has been a member of a several writers' organizations and Writers
Guilds. Currently, she is an Associate member of the League of
Canadian Poets and a member of The Ontario Poetry Society.

Her new book, due to
published in December 2013, is titled," In the rising mist,"
and reflect the beauty of nature that exists in the simplest of
those which we often fail to notice. The poet urges
the reader to visualize the beauty of these thought-provoking, simple
and poignant poems and reflect on life in general.
These poems also have an element of diversity, as a few of them
describe vivid scenes of India, -- images that make the reader peep
into the finer nuances of culture in India. The poet remembers them
with some degree of nostalgia and sensitivity as the reader tends
to discover oneself while perusing these poems.
