David Chirko was born and raised in Sudbury and began writing in 1971. Laurentian University is his alma mater. In the singer-songwriter field, he is enamored with the late Gene Clark (Byrds, et al--see David's Byrds Covers Page, Byrds Flyght, users.skynet.be/byrdsflyght) and Jim Morrison (Doors), and traditionally, Lorca and Goethe--his statement: "Like Goethe, I would some day like to be thought of as a poet psychologist, reflecting the quintessence of man's enigma." In fact, he penned 57 psychology book reviews and articles on the net and elsewhere (see his website, bottom--"Expanded Statement," for complete list). He now regales in composing "mental jingles"--satire from the top of his head.
