The Mark Gorman Student Scholar Award For Poetry

Entry for this award is free to students between the ages of 15 and 25.
The award consists of a grant of $100 for an emerging student poet
and a free one year membership to The Ontario Poetry Society.

Rules and Guidelines:
Email submissions are not accepted. Hard copy submissions only.
All themes and styles welcome.
Submit between 3 and 5 pages of poetry.
Poems to be typed one poem per page
on white letter size paper (8 ½ x 11)
using either Times New Roman or Arial #12 Font.
Print your name on the top left hand corner of your poems.
Poems submitted may be previously published.

Include a separate cover page with author name, complete mailing address,
including apt.# and postal code, tel. number
and e-mail if possible.
List poem titles or first line(s) if no poem title(s).
Include the name of the educational facility you are attending
and the course of study being pursued.

Deadline: Submissions to be postmarked
on or before October 30, 2020

The winner will be notified by Email and a feature page of their poems and name
will be posted on the website at www.theontariopoetrysociety.ca.
