The Sultry Summer Poetry Workshop & Performance Soirée

Featuring Poet Laureate John B. Lee

At 11 a.m., John B. Lee, author of Doing It! how to write the perfect poem, Black Moss Press
will give a one hour workshop to encourage, inspire and get us writing perfect poems.

Following the workshop, lunch is served from 12 Noon to 1 p.m.
Enjoy pizza, salad, ice cream and hot and cold beverages.
Lots of nibbles will also be available throughout the day.
Cash bar.

At 1 p.m. Feature Poet John B. Lee will perform his poetry for 20 minutes.
After a ten minute break, everyone in attendance is invited to take the stage & read 2 poems each.
There will be raffle draws between the readings for prize packages of poetry books.

Cost per poet is $50 (pre-paid)
Should you wish to pay on the day of the event, the cost per poet is $60

After Registering, you will be given a free journal and pen and 1 free raffle ticket.
Additional raffle tickets may be purchased for $2 each or 3 for $5.
Attendance is limited to 30 poets.

Directions: From the 401, exit Highway 8 south. Proceed 4 traffic lights to Eagle St. and turn right. One block to Queenston Rd. and turn left. Two blocks and club is on the left. From the south, Highway 24 (Brantford) or Highway 8 (Hamilton proceed on 8 into Preston and along King St. to Dover. Turn left. One block to Queenston Road. Turn left and the club will be on your left.
